This Eutectic Hot Plate is a heat accumulator ideal for isotherm transportation in the professional food service sector. Available in GN size and red colour. Made of high quality and food contact safe HDPE polyethylene. The plates help maintain food temperatures above +63°C for up to 3 hours.
Before use, it is important to heat the GN plate. To bring the plate up to temperature there are 2 options you can use:
• In the oven with dry air convection: heat the oven to 90°C, place the plate horizontally on the steel grid and heat it for a maximum of 40 minutes.
• In a steam oven: heat the oven to 95°C, place the plate horizontally on the steel grid and heat it for a maximum of 40 minutes.
When handling the plate before heating, it is essential to wear heat resistant gloves, goggles as well as protection coat. Always keep the plate with the plug upwards and the arms
away from the face. Please note, once heated the plate becomes fragile when handled.
Please note that the eutectic plates are not dishwasher safe. Do not heat the plates in microwaves or expose them to flames, grill or direct heat sources.
We also offer frozen eutectic plates for use with temperatures down to -21°C (Product Code: 863WHI) as well as a cold eutectic plates for use with temperatures up to -12°C.
The plates are reusable and the outer HDPE casing is 100% recyclable.
